Makeup…An integral part of the fashion industry in creating transformative imagery both in photography and run way shows; Ayami Nishimura is at the top of her game. Born in Japan but living in London, this self taught makeup artist is known for a colorful, edgy and futuristic style that remains classically beautiful. Also an incredible face painter, she has found a way to bring the two art forms together. With an enviable client roster, from Burberry, to Puma, to Uniqlo and TOPSHOP; Ayami has even worked with Kylie Minogue and formidable “Momma Monster” Lady Gaga.
Her latest project is a makeup/beauty book shot by photographer Rankin, who is also the founder british publication of DAZED & CONFUSED. A marriage of two of the top artists in their field, the book is a source of pure inspiration for anyone that appreciates innovative imagery that pushes the boundaries of the beauty industry.
